Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Smart Window.
  2. Reach a few Websites in new tabs
  3. Open the Assistant for one of the tabs and Ask it to search for the Top 10 shoes from DC
  4. Switch to any other Tab and navigate the website.

Expected result

  • The Tab where the conversation started and the Assistant performed a search with google should show a notification bubble. This would alert the user to any changes without forcing him to switch tabs.

Actual result

  • If the Assistant response would take a longer time, users would usually switch tabs and navigate while the assistant is providing a response.
When the Assistant also searches for something on google, regardless what the user is doing at that point he is forced back to that tab. This is a disruptive behavior.
Please also note that sometimes The Assistant is performing multiple searches for one prompt and it might steal focus from other tabs over and over again.
Please also note that sometimes the Search might be perform and the wrong tab if it happens while the user navigates between tabs.
