Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla 1.4a Drag and drop of links found on a webpage seems to have taken a major step backwards in Mozilla 1.4a. I've noticed that if you attempt to drag a link too quickly, Mozilla "forgets" that you were dragging a link -- that is, the mouse pointer turns back to the standard pointer and the link is no longer on the clipboard. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have the browser in tabbed mode 2. Go to a webpage that contains a link 3. Click on a link and quickly drag it towards another tab Actual Results: The link you're dragging is lost. Expected Results: The link should stay on the pointer, so that it can be successfully dropped in a new tab.
Confirm in 20030414 build. Position the mouse near the edge of the link, then drag quickly.
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040219 Tried several ways too. Naah, this isn't a dup of bug 200745 - that deals with events. Sorry for the late response.
Unable to reproduce with latest windows build on winXP
