Noticed while looking for language packs in the addons UI that I had some on device models that I didn't remember downloading.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Firefox
- enable kill switch
- open a few tabs (no idea if required)
- restart firefox (no idea if required)
- navigate to about:addons
What happens:
I see "static-embeddings" in the "on device AI" tab of about:addons. The model links to https://huggingface.co/mozilla/static-embeddings/
Expected result:
The kill switch is enabled, the model should have never been downloaded.
