Steps to reproduce

1. Open a Smart Window.
2. Type give me 3 jokes in the smart bar.
3. Open the Ask dropdown.

Expected result

• The ask dropdown should be displayed next tot he smart bar.

Actual result

• The ask dropdown falls to the bottom right corner of the Smart window.

I am able to reproduce this issue fairly often, if it doesnt happen on the first try, highlight the entire text and start typing again and then while the suggestions list is opened click the ask dropdown button

I'm unable to reproduce following these steps (including the detailed guidance), don't recall any duplicate bug reports in the channel. Appears that a workaround was possible.

Important issue to address in Nightly 151, but not a p1 uplift candidate for 150.

I tried to reproduce this issue for both mac os and windows 11 and I could not (even with the highlighting tip).
My guess is this was fixed by https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2018967
Even though that bug relates more to RTL locales, the behavior of having the panel-list in the right-bottom edge of the browser and the timeline indicates it could have fixed this bug.
@rares, could you please try to reproduce it on Nightly and let me know if you still see it? Thank you!

Hi Giulia, this issue still occurs, and now the Ask Dropdown is pushed even more out of view, so much so that it creates 2 scrollbars Horizontal and Vertical. Please take a look.

Hi Rares, so sorry this has gone back and forth a couple of times. I am using Linux/Ubuntu via UTM and can't recreate the issue on release or Nightly. Is it still happening for you? It may have been fixed since we last looked at this bug.

I cant reproduce this issue in our latest Nightly Builds, I will close this issue for now and reopen if it starts to reoccur.
