Affected platforms

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a Smart Window.
  2. Start a conversation inside the Ask Sidebar.
  3. Resize the Sidebar to the smallest available size.
  4. Double click the Sidebar line and try to resize it.
  5. Click the Sidebar line and try to resize it.

Expected result

  • The user should be able to grab the edge of the sidebar and resize it with one click.

Actual result

  • Sometimes the Edge of the Sidebar is grabbed by the mouse cursor without clicking it.
Clicking and dragging the edge of the sidebar in order to resize it will drop the edge if the mouse cursor moves away too fast.

Adding this video as well to show how hard it is to resize it.

We've made more changes to the sidebar resizer since this patch, I think - but even before that I couldn't really reproduce. Are you still seeing this? Are there any other steps that I might be missing? Is the double click mentioned in comment 0 intentional? (single click should be the same, I would have thought?)

Hi Gijs, yes this issue still occurs, the trick is to double click the edge and drag it all the way to the right.. after that it seems to anchor to the mouse cursor without clicking and holding it.
