Steps to reproduce:
The error page iconography on Android is inconsistent:
firefox/mobile/android/android-components/components/ui/icons/src/main/assets/
mozac_error_asleep.svg
mozac_error_confused.svg
mozac_error_eye_roll.svg
mozac_error_hourglass.svg
mozac_error_inspect.svg
mozac_error_lock.svg
mozac_error_no_internet.svg
mozac_error_question_file.svg
mozac_error_shred_file.svg
mozac_error_surprised.svg
mozac_error_unplugged.svg
Historically, these icons portrayed an emoji-ish yellow head with various expressions. A fox character was introduced in https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D223952 (https://github.com/mozilla-firefox/firefox/commit/ee9cd5eebed0bacfdea20016fc4d1658964f1bb1) to replace mozac_error_no_internet_connection.svg, but other errors (DNS, etc) still use the emoji head.
The figma design page is password-protected, so I can't find more information on the source or artist.
Expected results:
With Firefox's new mascot "Kit", it would make sense to unify all of these icons under the new, modern character. This would require a set of poses/expressions from the new mascot in order to replace each of the previous error .svgs, unless simplified to a smaller set of icons to cover the broader range of error conditions.
The Visual/Design team would need to be involved, and I am happy to test and offer feedback.
