Steps to reproduce:
Updated to version 149.0.1
Actual results:
The week and day views of the calendar suddenly show the time horizontally and the days vertically. See attachment.
Expected results:
Nothing should have changed.
I found no way (Google search, ChatGpt search, …) how to reconfigure this. It shouldn't have happened in the first place, but at least a way how to change this back, would be nice.
Theme is "System-Theme"
Addons: only one - "FileLink-provider for webdav"
I just realized there is a dedicated tracker for Calendar https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Calendar
Please move this issue there.

I don't know why that would have happened, but see View | Calendar | Current View | Rotate View

thanks a lot for this hint. I really don't know, but I looked at this menu on Mac and Windows and I obviously overlooked this "a hundred times".
Also not a single search hit showed me this option. Really weird.
But obviously the default value seems to have "rotated". Since clicking this menu item now brings me back to the state it was before and then the menu item gets a check mark.
I noticed something similar already with the event search area. (Terminsuche-Bereich in German)
This can be shown/hidden with either a button in the calendar (right top) or via the menu.
Both items are not in sync, and either shows a check mark, when the other is not.
So I assume something is really of with menu-state management.
Another thought: The duplicate issue all seem to be related to a German user interface. Maybe the language play into the game?

It seams that some options are somehow swapped. As if the checkboxes are just toggling the state (true<>false), but the initial state is inverted. For me this applies to the calendar rotation and whether only workdays are shown. (also using german locale)

I am using Dutch language! Having the same problem.

Sorry for all the trouble. I just found the option within view to Rotate to Vertical layout, and it works.
But my default setting has definitely changed after the latest update. But great that there is this option :)
Keep up the great work!

Is the setting inverted? If rotated is checked, the time axis should be horizontal and the day axis should be vertical.

Note: It helped for me to go to Help > Troubleshoot Mode, to check Reset Layout and to Apply and Restart. After that the settings returned to normal.

With the Vertical setting active, it is marked with a tick.

Ok so I figured out how to reproduce.
In v148 or earlier, click View | Calendar | Current View | Rotate View. Now click again, to go back to normal view. Upgrade to v149+ => get a rotated view.

Just for my understanding. Am I assuming right that this will be fixed in a point-release? 149.0.x?
(Not sure what milestone 151 branch means here, but that's a regression and hence must be fixed ASAP not weeks in the future)

Target is the version of daily channel where the patch landed.
The required patch progression is: daily -> bake period -> beta -> bake period -> release.
Roughly 1 week for a critical patch, 2-3 weeks for impactful patch, 5-8 weeks for non-impactful patch.
My understanding of how users are affected is it happens during an upgrade and does not repeat, and by now most everyone has done an upgrade. So by now this is now non-impactful.

Hm... obviously our opinion is drastically different regarding criticality.
by now most everyone has done an upgrade
Probably yes, and that's where the problem lies.
All people not so deep in to tech (not searching bug trackers for resolution, not spending time on problem resolution of a daily driven tool) see this as a major problem for their daily usage. It's really hard to accustom to a "new" calendar view that you most likely never saw before.
I can only speak from my experience, but as noted here in the beginning already, I wasn't even able to find the menu item with the help of search engines. Maybe the interface language matters, but I obviously did not find the right keywords and not even our (not-so-intelligent) AI really got, what my problem was.
I warned several people about this issue. Guess what the reaction was: "I'm not upgrading." or "I'm searching for an alternative product."
=> for a normal user this is bug is so nerve-wracking they consider switching the product! Think about that please. This is not about technical stuff, this is about product reputation.
I'm coming from different open source projects, but my take on such a regression, impacting customer satisfaction in such a drastic way, is: full alarm! (that's nearly in the category of startup-crash-bug)
Happy Easter

Is not my decision, so also possible the middle path will be taken, in which case it could get out with release 150.
