Steps to reproduce:
Set my home page to search.yahoo.com
Tried without HTTP or HTTPS as well as with.
This is affecting 16 machines on my network with various versions of windows that have search.yahoo.com set as their preferred search engine.
Note: the home button works as expected and shows search.yahoo.com
Actual results:
When starting firefox, I get the new tab with no url filled in nor any page rendered.
The window title and tab both say "New tab".
See screenshot.
Note on screenshot. Taken with Ultimate Paint. Have no idea why it looks like that.
Expected results:
search.yahoo.com should of been rendered with the URL in the address bar as well having the tab and window title set.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

There is no component directly labeled as Firefox::Home so closest component is Firefox::General

Possible duplicate of bug 2030771, due to both being related to Yahoo.

Possible duplicate of bug 2030771, due to both being related to Yahoo.
It is possible that it is related to search, specifically yahoo search, I set one of my machines to use UK yahoo and after agreeing the the overseas consent, using either the uk.yahoo or the uk.search.yahoo results in a blank page being presented on opening firefox.
It might have something to do with yahoo opening search results in a new page but I don't have the ability to start the browser with debugging and tracing on beforehand.

New information found, this only affects my windows 10 & 11 installations, none of my windows 7 installations display this behavior.
