what's the use of having it if no one is reading it?

The plan was to start linking to it, but then working on cvs docs got pushed to
the bottom of my work list.

It should at least appear in the documentation tree structure. If it isn't, and
you have CVS access, you could add it.

RESOLVED/fixed.

Is there any reason why the home page is using /docs/* for documentation links,
instead of /catalog/* ?

bug 213142. There seems to be confusion on what is the real documentation
portal. The beta site also links incorrectly.
