We need to update the Web Push notifications in Firefox article to reflect the recent Firefox redesigns. Currently, some of the institutions are just not true: for example, there are no "Settings..." buttons next to permission types in Settings, and there's no lock in the address bar (we have trust panel instead).

I uploaded Image: Fx149PushNotifications to the Media Gallery, showing the Trust icon in the address bar. Test page: https://simple-push-demo.vercel.app/
P.S. I also submitted a revision to the article that's pending review, to add this image and the Trust icon for fx149 ... which should have been done as part of bug 2012297 - See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox/history Update: revision approved Apr 21, 2026

There is no longer a "Settings" button to the right of Notifications (or any other entry) under Permissions in the Firefox 149 Privacy & Security panel. You just click on the entry itself to open the Settings dialog.
I submitted a revision that's pending review to update the article but deferred it based on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/contributor-assignments. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox/history (any other changes needed?)

Hi Denys,
do you want to work on this one yourself?

Hi Kiki,
I can work on that, but I'll also be happy with anyone else assigned. It sounds fair to assign this to Alice, given the work she's already done.
Regarding other changes needed:
- Correct steps 2 and 3 of the first list of the Upgraded Notifications section (clarify where the arrow is, the trustpanel is not called "Site Information", "More information" is now "More site information")
- We might need to update the push notification screenshot (though I'm not sure about this as I don't actually use such notifications).
- There's no clear differentiation between removing a website from the Notifications window in Settings and setting it to "Block". We might want to clarify that (both options revoke the permission, but setting Block also prevents the website from requestion the permission again, as far as I understand).

I don't mind if Kiki assigns the bug to you, which is fair since you filed the bug. Feel free to edit my deferred revision.

Denys, I no longer want to work on this update, unless no one else does. Can you reassign this bug to yourself and start working on it or do you have to wait for Kiki?
