Implement model switching behavior for the inline picker.

  • Selecting a model updates the model for the current tab only
  • Switching models does not change the default model
  • Model selected during onboarding remains the default for new tabs
  • Closing and reopening a tab resets to the default model
  • Switching models mid-conversation continues the conversation with the new model (new model is given context of chat)
  • Custom model appears in picker only if configured in settings
  • Model switch events are available for telemetry
