i am using mozilla 1.3b quite a long and never had problems with bookmarks.
lately mozilla just ate too much system resources so i decided to restart the
computer. i logged in and boom! all my bookmarks are gone :( is there any chance
to recover it (from xul.mfasl maybe?).

any help appreciated.

cheers,

Were the bookmarks completely deleted or reverted to defaults?
This is may be a duplicate of bug 164244.
no, this is definitely *not* the duplicate of 164244. there are no bookmarks at
all (as i said bookmarks.html = 0 bytes).
surprise today.. bookmarks.html does not have zero (0) bytes size but 262 B. it
is getting stranger every day.. bookmarks.html in the attachment
Reporter, did you kill the process? If so, IMHO this is a dupe of Bug 193749
"bookmarks and personal preferences are lost after system crash due to power
failure".
