User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:152.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/152.0

Steps to reproduce:

Debian sid/unstable with libgtk-3-0t64 3.24.52-1 and firefox-nightly 152.0a1~20260512090214

Browse the Web and click on links to visit several pages in the same tab.

Click long on the back arrow to bring up the history menu.

Actual results:

I am unable to select the items as the cursor mismatches the highlights. See attached screen cast.

Expected results:

The items should be selectable.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Product: Firefox → Core

Note, that I am using a HiDPI screen and 200 % scaling in GNOME/Mutter.

Could you please help us narrow down when this issue started? If you have access to an earlier version of Firefox where the back menu items were selectable correctly, please run mozregression to identify the regression range:

pip install mozregression
mozregression --good <last-known-good-version>

For example, if Firefox 151 worked correctly:

mozregression --good 151

(Omitting --bad defaults to the latest nightly.)

Please share the resulting changeset/pushlog when finished. Thanks!

@sinker, sorry, unfortunately not any time soon. Can you reproduce it on your side?

Was QA able to reproduce this?

  1. The problem also happens with 100 % scaling, but there it also sometimes works. The first item in the list is always not highlighted the first time hovering over it.
  2. I tried to use mozregression, but from release 148 and earlier, they don’t start on my Debian sid/unstable system (bug 2041574). I am able to reproduce it with version 149.
