User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.0.3705; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030422 Firebird™ Browser/0.6
When connecting to a site using Netscape-Enterprise 3.6 or 4.1? the TM in the
user-agent header causes the site to fail. Is this encoded in unicode? do these
servers not handle unicode? with the error below. Removal of the TM should be
considered for future Phoenix/Firebird/Mozilla browser builds.
user-agent header:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a)
Gecko/20030422 Firebird™ Browser/0.6
netscape-enterprise error:
Bad request
Your browser sent a query this server could not understand.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to any site? served by Netscape Enterprise 3.6 or 4.1?
Actual Results:
Server returns the error:
Bad request
Your browser sent a query this server could not understand.
Expected Results:
Mozilla browser/Phoenix is handling the error correctly, but consideration
should be given to removing the TM from the user-agent header.
