Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401
On OS/2 Warp 4.5, Mozilla Mailer 1.4a does not send the mail letter currently
being edited if Ctrl-Enter is pressed but inserts a new line to the edited text
as if the Ctrl was not pressed at all.
Pressing Ctrl-Shift-Enter works in the same way, Ctrl and Shift are also ignored.
The letter can still be sent without problems using mouse and the "Send" icon in
the upper left corner.
Older versions of Mozilla worked correctly, I think that this problem is new to
version 1.4a.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new compose window, either from menu or using Ctrl-M.
2. Fill in the recipient.
3. Write something to the blank space.
4. Press Ctrl-Enter to send the letter.
Actual Results:
A new line was inserted to my text as if I did not press Ctrl-Enter but only Enter.
Expected Results:
Either it should start sending the letter directly or it should open a
confirmation dialog.

Searching for
ctrl enter
on http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=MailNews gives me 10
results, none of which addresses to the problem described here. What am I doing
wrong?

I am sorry, but I was able to find just two bugs concerning Ctrl-Enter and
MailNews -- 20336 and 106327 -- and none of them was related to my problem.
I apologize for making your work harder.
per comment 4: i search MailNews for "CTRL" and "ENTER", asking for all bugs
that are UNCONFIRMED, NEW, ASSIGNED, REOPENED, RESOLVED and VERIFIED. I think,
that by default some of these categories are not included [VERIFIED, RESOLVED
and UNCONFIRMED?]. This to filter out the dupes and already fixed bugs and
giving you only the open ones which are most relevant for developers.
But this will not give you the dupes [which may have a description closer to the
terms you're looking for] or already fixed bugs, such as this one.
Comment 5: If you look at bug 198976 you'll see a great number of duplicates.
But also manage to report some bugs that were already reported.
