It would be nice to be able to have more editing power in the "HTML Tags" view.
It would be desirable, for example, to be able to remove tags, keeping the text
contained in them (and if possible also keeping other tags contained in them).
Reproducible: Always

Daniel--I think this is a duplicate bug but I haven't been able to find it; does
it sound familiar to you?
OS: Windows 98 → All
Hardware: PC → All
Summary: RFE: Better editing in Tags view → Better editing in All Tags view (ability to remove tags without removing content)
The requested feature is already in Composer, fixed a long time ago when I
changed the status bar to a document's structure bar.
Place the caret in the element you want to remove, righ-click on the element's
tag in the status bar, select "Remove tag".
Duping to 173319.
