cannot sync palm AB after successfully installation

After the Address Book Palm Sync Install if I try to Hotsync nothing happen.
No log created in the path specified by MOZ_CONDUIT_LOG env var
(MOZ_CONDUIT_LOG="C:\temp\conduitlog.txt").
If I try to customize the Hotsync properties I get "Do Nothing" and the
"Change..." button disabled/without any action.
It seems like the DLL mozABConduit.dll does not start.
