Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
Changes to Mail and newsgroup account settings are frequently not retained.
Specificaly to the copies and folders settings. I have repeatedly set it to
place a copy of sent messages into a specific folder, after clicking ok it
reverts to the previous settings. Also sent mail is not being saved to the
folder it reverts to, i can not get it to save at all.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to mail and newsgroup account settings
2.change anything
3.click ok
4.go to mail and newsgroup account settings and see nothing was saved
Actual Results:
nothing was saved, sent mail still is not saved in any folder
Expected Results:
the settings I selected are retained and sent mail is saved in the folder specified
this happens on all three computers I am using with mozilla 1.3 and windows XP

Did you try the following actions:
- Change something in the preferences
- SHUT DOWN Mozilla in a proper way. (quit/or exit, but do not kill it)
- Start Mozilla again, and watch the settings.

Bart,
Yes I have tried that, the settings are still not saved. But to clarify, this
only hapens in the Copies and Folders settings, the other settings, server
settings, adressing, disk space, etc. all save properly.
thanks for your help
Is this still being looked at? I have had this problem on and off for ever,
(1.0->1.4), on a seemingly random basis, (on one particular machine).

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
