Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b4pre) Gecko/2008020504 Minefield/3.0b4pre This is still observed in Firefox 3 beta running in Windows XP. As the images don't seem to be available any longer (better if added as attachments), I'm also adding a small procedure for comparison: 1. Open (Window's) "Notepad"; 2. Insert line breaks until the document needs scrolling; 3. Click between the arrows and the bar itself; Notice that a shade appears before the document is actually scrolled: above or bellow the bar (if the click is done above bellow the bar, respectively). The shade is removed once the bar is re-located.

Click was performed above the bar (although the cursor isn't visible in the screen shot) so a shade is shown between the up arrow and the bar itself. This is a (very) quick effect.
