User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 If you change the font size in Print Preview, when you exit to the main browser window the page you were viewing is displayed at the font size selected in Print Preview. But the Browser thinks it is displaying at its original font size, so that any subsequent changes in font size are interpreted relative to the original size. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to <http://www.google.com/> 2. Use Ctrl + to increase font size by three steps - font is now big 3. Print Preview - font is now standard size 4. Use Ctrl - to decrease font size by three steps. - font is now small 5. Close print preview. - font is now small, which IMHO is incorrect. 6. Use Ctrl + to increase font size. Font size jumps seven steps from small to very big. Actual Results: The change in font size while in Print Preview managed to confuse the browser so that it rendered at one font size but remembered a different font size. Expected Results: My preferred result is for font size changes to be disabled while in print preview, at least until such font changes are correctly displayed and affect printing. If that's not possible, then font sizes should be separately handled, so that font size changes in print preview have no effect on the main browser window.
Forgot to mention: Sometimes print preview doesn't permit font size changes. Workaround is to close and re-open print preview. This is a separate bug -- feel free to file it. I'm just telling y'all so you can reproduce this one.
I can see this too Mozilla 1.4b, Windows XP

Ever confirmed: true
Should font size changes even be allowed in Print Preview? E.g. changing the font size while PP'ing this page is dead ugly with text overwriting itself at every opportunity (Win32 build 2003071208), text in <input type=text> fields getting truncated on all four sides, etc...
This should possibly be filed as a seperate bug, but a similar effect happens if you adjust the font size in the browser window then open and close the print preview window. The main page reverts back to default font size. If you try and resize though it's remembered that it's resized before and moves to the expected size. Steps to reproduce ------------------ 1) Hit Ctrl and + to increase the font size in a document. 2) File / Print Preivew, then close that window. 3) Obvserve that the font size in the main window has reverted. Expected results ---------------- Font size in the main window should be one size up from default. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041109 Firefox/1.0 (MOOX M2)
