EXE files understanding by Mozilla as MIME applicatinons/octet streams. Let's
look in generated message contains EXE as attachment:
1) Content-Type: www/unknown;
2) Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
3) ...

=00=00=00=00=03=00

Missing '=' at the end of 2nd string.
Result: File size is increased on some bytes (depend of file size)and brocken.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new mail message (compose)
2.Attach any .exe file
3.Save attachment and compare with original EXE
Actual Results:
EXE is brocken
Expected Results:
Exe must be correct =)

Nick, unless you are mozilla.org driver you are not allowed to set the flag to
blocking1.4+
You request it by setting it to 1.4?, but it would be a good idea to wait for
this bug to be confirmed first.

I guess your problem is a dupe of bug 168098.
If you can identify and resolve the problem after reading comment #4 in that
bug, please close this bug here as dupe.
