User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 Problem: When I install Mozilla and select to use it as the default mail reader, it sets the flags acordingly, EXCEPT when handling URLS. Any mailto: urls or news: or nntp: urls launch Outlook Express. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch MailNews. 2. Select YES to use it as the default mail reader 3. click on start -> run -> mailto:some@address Actual Results: See OUTLOOK EXPRESS come up, not a MailNews composition window. Expected Results: MailNews new message window should appear, and outlook express should NOT LOAD. Proposed Solution: When a user says YES they want to use MailNews as the default mail reader, set all the appropriate registry flags. See attachment for registry patch that fixes this.
