Based on user feedback the "You're protected" pill from home shown in 152 when there are no trackers blocked might be confusing as it does not say what Firefox protects against and is not a clickable element.
In 153 when clicking on the pill the new protections dashboard will open which would offer the needed context.

In 152 the button would just show a "You're protected text" with no useful context.
In 153+ clicking on the same button will open the tracking protection dashboard.

This will need a Beta uplift request eventually too.

(In reply to Ryan VanderMeulen [:RyanVM] from comment #4)
This will need a Beta uplift request eventually too.
Starting with 153 (current beta) the same pill even in its 0 state would be clickable and open the tracker protections dashboard so the thought is that this should be enough to offer the context of what that pill is for.
The plan as laid out by Justin:
- if able in 152 dot release, hide until trackers have been blocked
- no changes for 153 as that will have the panel which avoids much of the confusion mentioned here
- for 153 dot releases and 154+ we will revisit verbiage we use to make it more clear, but to preserve first impression of homepage

I can confirm that on the pill is not displayed until at least 1 tracker is blocked.
Verified as fixed on RC 152.0.4.
Devices used:
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (Android 16);
- Google Pixel 9 Pro XL (Android 17).
Marking the ticket as verified on 152.
