2049749 - Include all fields that are public in Socorro in crash pings

There are a number of fields which are considered public information by Socorro but are still only submitted with crash reports. We can submit these with crash pings as well. Some are important for aggregations (such as architecture and os information), and are notably already included in crash pings as a part of Glean client info.

In addition to the general task described in the ticket, we want to take special care to perform the tasks coming out of the conclusions of Bug 2055875 (See the "Conclusions" section in Comment 10 and later comments).

Also, due to Bug 2052950, we will need to include the Crash Ping-specific Glean Client ID in the Crash Ping submitted to Socorro as well (I'll be updating that ticket today with the requirements from the Data Policy team, but suffice to say, we have to honor data deletion requests for Crash Pings, so we will need to know the Glean Client ID to do that). Edit: 2026-07-28: Please hold off on including the Glean client ID until I resolve the requirement(s) with the data policy/legal team.

there should be no reason they aren't included in pings.

gsvelto: I know you've been on PTO for two weeks and just got back on Monday. This ticket is now blocking my PR for Bug 2052944, and I think, along with Bug 2049744, we also want to consider uplifting this patch to ESR 153 (NI-ing afranchuk to confirm; see this comment for more info). Would it be possible for you to take a look early next week?
