User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:153.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/153.0

Steps to reproduce:

Load multiple tabs while using firefox 153 beta or firefox dev edition on either nvidia-open or amdgpu drivers and with wayland under gnome 50 desktop. Videos playing may aggravate the issue, so load a 4k video and scroll, load context menus, and scroll large media feeds or video sites. After some time, graphical/texture corruption begins to occur, including in the browser chrome and progressively gets worse. Moving tabs to new windows and resizing also seems to aggravate the issue.

mozregression narrowed the corruption occurring after trying several different versions down to https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/autoland/rev/80a8346fd6aa on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2009570

Downgrading to 152 resolves the issue as well as running with GDK_BACKEND=x11

Actual results:

Black boxes, different textures loaded into parts of the page erratically, random colors. See screencasts.

Expected results:

No graphical issues when playing videos, using context menus, etc.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Product: Firefox → Core

Sorry, I believe this is due to gfx.webrender.compositor being set. I've reset it and I am avoiding this graphical corruption now for amdgpu and nividia-open.
