[Nova] The labels of the dismiss (X) and secondary (Dismiss/Next/…) buttons in callouts don’t follow the Nova purple color styling

[Affected versions]:

  • Firefox Nightly 154.0a1 (Build ID: 20260626040954)

[Affected Platforms]:

  • Windows 10 x64
  • macOS 15.7.3
  • Ubuntu 24.04.1

[Prerequisites]:

  • Have the latest Firefox Nightly 154.0a1 build installed/extracted and opened.
  • Have the “browser.nova.enabled” and “browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.asrouter.devtoolsEnabled” prefs set to true;

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Navigate to about:asrouter and search for “PDFJS_FEATURE_TOUR_B” callout message.
  2. Click the “Show” button and observe the dismiss and secondary buttons from the message.

[Expected result]:

  • The labels of dismiss (X) and secondary (Dismiss/Next/..) buttons are purple as specified in Figma.

[Actual result]:

  • The labels of dismiss (X) and secondary (Dismiss/Next/..) buttons are midnightblue.

[Notes]:

  • Attached are screenshots of the issue.

Our Figmas show this text as black. Can you link to the Figma you're referencing?

Hi Meg! Here’s the Figma file we followed during testing. I’m also attaching a screenshot showing the colors we observed in the devtools panel.

I think that file just contains design explorations from February. The final designs are in this file.
