Steps to reproduce
- In Firefox Nightly, open a Private Browsing tab, and focus the address bar.
- Tap the Google Lens icon at the right edge (which shows up as of a few days ago in Nightly if Google is your default search engine).
- Take a photo of something.
Expected behavior
Google Lens search results.
Actual behavior
A Google Lens page loads with no search results - instead it's got a search bar with an icon of an image with a slash through it, and the placeholder text "Add to your search".
Device information
- Firefox version: 154.0a1
- Android device model: Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 6a
- Android OS version: 17
Any additional information?
It makes sense to be a bit more cautious about photo-uploading in private browsing tabs, so I'm guessing there's some sort of permission/privacy feature that's kicking in here - but we should be sure it takes effect in a way that makes sense and is user-understandable.
