In bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2053982 we quickly fixed a bad regression by moving to a different web page, but a better fix would be NOT to do this and instead have a locally-served page we can use for Access Connectors.

However:

  • access connectors are using pattern so as much as I can remember from testing ,we are limited as for WebExtensions patterns to NOT use port-based hosts
  • we would need to use fake FQDN ?
