This is a ticket to hold feedback / ideas from the Nightly testing of the streamlined tab context menu before we offer it in Release Labs.

We will trim and operationalize it once we finalize testing in Nightly, by the end of July 2026.
Renaming

• [Must do] Remove article from Open in a New Container Tab. The string should be Open in New Container Tab.
• Consider renaming Open in New Container Tab to Open in Container / Duplicate in Container (since the action really duplicates the selected tab)

Ordering

• Move Open in Split View (and all related Split View options when the tab is in a Split View) below tab group-related options (Move tab to >, Remove from Group for tabs that are already in a group).

Access keys

• [Must do] Change the access key for Close Multiple as it currently clashes with Mute (both use M). This, in turn, makes it impossible to chain shortcuts (M X) to reach Close Duplicates option.

To investigate
Consider adding subheaders to the Move to menu (see screenshot) to reduce duplication of Move to string, and clarify the destination of movement.

Reopen closed tab should stay singular. Right now, it's plural when disabled, singular when enabled.
