Details

The NSIS installer localization uses a custom format for its localization files, which is generated by the preprocess-locale.py script. This script contains a bespoke .properties parser, which uses a different syntax than all other .properties files, e.g. using "quotes" to allow for leading or trailing whitespace.

The format of these files should be regularised, and our common moz-l10n parser used for parsing their contents.
