205879 - Negative values for number of newsgroup messages

Newsgroups will sometimes display negative values for the mnessage count.  On
netnews.attbi.com (NNTP server) for alt.autos.bmw, the message count read -4207.
 Sometimes the count is blank.  Click on another newsgroup and then clicking
back on alt.autos.bmw seemed to correct the problem.



Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Not sure if I can give you exact steps...

1.  Expand newsgroup server that has several newsgroups.
2.  Look at the message counts.
3.  Try using "Get Msgs" on the server or newsgroups to get the count to change. 

Actual Results:  
Negative value or blank for message count on one of the newsgroups.


Expected Results:  
Should have displayed the correct non-negative message count.
