Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:154.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/154.0
Steps to reproduce:
I typed some text into the search box. Then I used the mouse left button to sweep-select the text. The sweep select does not happen. I then tried CTRL-A (select all) keyboard combination, and the select does not happen. However, right mouse click dropdown does provide the Select All entry.
The same effect is present in the URL address box.
Actual results:
The sweep select does not happen.
Expected results:
The swept text should become highlighted as "selected"
This is on the Nightly (Firefox developer) version.
This version is 154.065 (x64 Windows) version.
This has never failed, to my knowledge, in versions prior to 154.065

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I'm experiencing the same problem. Text selection in the address bar is not visible, which makes it difficult to use.

My version is 154.0b5 (64-bit) .
Same problem here on 154.0b5, the text is actually selected though so when I just right click the address bar and cut/copy it still works as expected, also double click will mark a word and then cut/copy that, it is just the visual indication what is being selected that is missing.
