Preconditions

• ensure that Nova is enabled

Steps to reproduce

1. Navigate to about:preferences#appearance
2. Under Window density, select Standard.
3. Switch between Standard and the other Window density options.

Expected result

• The "Use touch spacing for tablet mode" checkbox should be visible every time the Standard option is selected, allowing the user to enable or disable it at any time.

Actual result

• The "Use touch spacing for tablet mode" checkbox is displayed only the second time the Standard option is selected.
• In some cases, the checkbox is visible while Standard is not selected, but it disappears as soon as Standard is selected. Please see the attached screen recording for more details.

Regression range

• This behavior started after the patch from Bug 2053739 landed.

Verified as fixed using the latest Nightly 155.0a1 on Windows 10, Ubuntu 24.04 and Windows 11 ARM with touch capability (Lenovo Yoga) - "Use touch spacing for tablet mode" checkbox is now consistently displayed and selected.
