Preconditions

  • Ensure that Nova is enabled.
  • Firefox is in Horizontal tabs mode
  • The user has several container tabs, including tabs in tab groups and split views.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Focus a split view containing container tabs.
  2. Observe the container color indicators.
  3. Focus a tab group containing container tabs.
  4. Observe the container color indicators.

Expected result

  • The container color indicators should be displayed correctly.

Actual result

  • On Windows 11, square favicons (e.g. Wikipedia and BBC) overlap the container color indicators in both split views and tab groups. On macOS 26, the same overlap occurs in split views.

Regression range

  • The issue was introduced with the Nova styling changes.
