This bug is related to the new Firefox Nova redesign.

As it can be seen in the screenshot I have a dark theme applied to the tabs background while everything else remains white (white and black theme), the problem is that when the browser is full-screened the tab background leaks under the address bar as if it wasn't in full screen.

The same behavior applies while having the bookmarks toolbar shown.

I'm using this theme: https://addons.mozilla.org/es-ES/firefox/addon/black-and-white-060221/

But it also happens with the default Firefox themes, that padding/margin remains there regardless of the theme used. In the black and white theme is easier to see.

This seems to have been fixed -- at least I can't reproduce it with a build of the latest m-c on Windows 11. The attached screenshots from top to bottom: (1) full screen, (2) maximized, (3) not maximized.

andromeda, can you confirm? If by full screen you really mean maximized, then I think this is the intended design. AFAIK Firefox's theme design doesn't distinguish between maximized vs. non-maximized the way it does full-screen vs. non-full-screen.

If this really is a bug, it's a toolbar or maybe theme problem, not address bar: The black part below the urlbar in the comment 0 screenshot extends the entire length of the navbar and is part of the navigator-toolbox.

I meant maximized yeah, sorry for not clarifying that. To clarify even further, when the screen is maximized all the padding around the toolbar disappears while that dead space under the toolbar remains there.

As it can be seen in your screenshots in the (3) the toolbar is surrounded by a padding, while in (2) only the lower part of the toolbar has that padding, which doesn't make sense. In my opinion, when the window is maximized the separation between the toolbar and the page content should look like the screenshot (1).

It happens with all themes even the ones that come standard with Firefox.
