STR: Enable Nova, and open compact mode
ER: There is padding after the last button on the toolbar and tab bar rows before the edge of the window, similar to the padding next to the application menu.
AR: There is no/minimal padding between these buttons and the edge of the window, see attached image.

FYI this appears to still be the case with the new design after removing padding in bug 2063294, except it now applies both to compact mode & non-compact mode.
