Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030519 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030519 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 In order to install my plug-ins, I downloaded MozDev's registry hack to make plug-in installers see Mozilla Firebird. I've tried installing the hack both before, and after, I've installed Mozilla Firebird. Every time, after I install Flash and Shockwave with the hack, Mozilla Firebird gives me two results: it launches slowly, only to show an odd interface with the Classsic Mozilla skin and a couple of extra menus ("Debug" and "QA" are the two that come to mind); other times, it will launch, but I'll never seen an open window, or an entry in the Windows taskbar. (If it launches with the odd interface, it will not execute any command I give it, such as typing in an address in the address bar and pressing Enter.) However, if I check the processes running in the background, Mozilla Firebird is running, invisibly, using over 14MBs of memory. The most common result is Mozilla Firebird running as a background process. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Inatall MozDev's registry hack to make plug-in installers see Mozilla Firebird. 2. Install Mozilla Firebird. 3. Install Flash 6 and Shockwave 8. 4. Open Mozilla Firebird. Actual Results: Mozilla Firebird will launch, but only run as a background process; or it may launch with Mozilla's Classic theme, with added menu options. Expected Results: Launched smoothly, and normally.
