Steps to reproduce:

I did nothing. I opened Firefox one day and all my saved tab groups were deleted.

Actual results:

All my saved tab groups were deleted.

Expected results:

"Saved" should mean my saved tab groups are actually saved and won't disappear for literally no reason.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Tabbed Browser' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

You can try restoring from your previous.jsonlz4 session.

I'm sorry your saved tab groups are gone from your session. :( The link in Yeet's comment 2 may help you recover the saved groups from a session file that still has them.

It sounds like nothing remarkable happened, but just to check, were any of the following true?

  • applied a Firefox update
  • you use the setting "Open previous windows and tabs" for startup
  • saw a "Sorry. We’re having trouble getting your pages back." page
