bug 16300 is for a Wizard for Unix-does this now belong to Samir? If so I will
mark the other bug a duplicate.

I *think* dougt just wants to see SSL delivered with the commercial builds by
hook or by crook. Creating a wizard (16300) would accomplish this, but so would
a stop-gap of simply including the files in the tarball.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Doug.
Also Samir is working on creating the XPI files for Unix, which would be a
subrequirement of the wizard but doesn't itself accomplish the wizard. Maybe
this bug could represent that effort?

I was under the impression that this bug is tracking the command line XPInstall
engine launcher. The PSM XPI package is being tracked by bug #20710.
Bug #16300 tracks the real wizard. The command line engine launcher is the
interim incarnation of the real wizard. The two are distinct.

The cmdline installer is basically functional for Linux. However, the XPI
packages for browser and mail on Linux need to be generated (close to
integrating). In lieu of the latter, the requirement for dry runs, and the
non-critical nature of the bug I'm moving this to M13.
[Note, work to generate PSM/Security xpis is done and they should be coming
online sooner.]

Code checked in but not turned on. This won't go online until M14 (I'm on
vacation through M13).

Marking fixed since this is checked in. Once the release team integrates our
Linux .xpi generation port work we can turn this on in regular builds. Will work
with QA for special build delivery for verification in the meanwhile.

Samir,
Is this for beta1?

No, the binary for this silent command line installer will never be used: it wa
in prep for the pre-Christmas release of PSM. The .xpis never got built in time
so we didn't use this.
Parts of this code will be extracted and used in the Linux wizard. That product
is scheduled for M16 (what a joke!).
