User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 After upgrading from mozilla 1.3 to 1.4b, my automatic proxy configuration file is no longer working. To verify that it wasn't the file:/// syntax, I switched it to a local web server and monitored the logs. After changing the automatic proxy configuration URL to that system, Mozilla never attempted to access the machine, indicating that it wasn't even attempting to load it. Without proxy configuration files, people in certain sites with complex Internet configurations will have difficulty using Mozilla. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to edit->preferences->advanced->proxies 2. Enable "Automatic Proxy Configuration URL", and enter "http://your.web.server/something.pac" 3. Monitor your webserver's log, and notice that mozilla never attempts to access it Actual Results: Mozilla does not even attempt to read the proxies.pac I gave it Expected Results: It should have read and interpretted my proxies.pac, both from my local system (via file:///C:/here/there/proxies.pac") and from an http/https/ftp/gopher URL
