Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 was just using recently installed Mozilla 1.3.1 ... looks good, picks up the settings and bookmarks of NetScape etc ... no difficulties tried to open Netscape 7.02 at the same time, but the profile was in use and therefore unavailable ... is this a wee oversight, set a bookmark while in Moz and it appears in my Netscape profile ... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open mozilla browser 2.try to open netscape at same time 3. Actual Results: error, "netscape cannot use the profile selected as it is in use, please select or create another profile" and netscape refuses to start unless you use or create another profile ... I only have the default / one I normally use in netscape 7.02 Expected Results: on install copy the netscape settings so, that they can be used separately and independently
This is by design. As you say, bookmarks etc. are easily recognized between the two. And that is because they use the same files. Since two programs cannot have access to the same files at the same time you cannot use Mozilla and Netscape at the same time. [unless you create two separate profiles, using the profile manager]

After you creat one profile for each browser you can launch them with a specific profile by (edit the shortcut) ... mozilla.exe" -p "profileName"
