Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0) Build Identifier: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.4b/mozilla-win32-1.4b-installer-sea.exe Proxy autoconfiguration is not working for me with Mozilla 1.4beta: When I start up and go to an external site, the 'M' keeps spinning, and I am never prompted for a proxy login. Reloading the autoconfig file doesn't fix this. Re-installing Mozilla 1.3.1 fixes things -- so it's a 1.4b problem. I'm afraid I didn't download 1.4alpha, so I don't know if this was a problem there. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start browser. 2. Go to external site. 3. Am not prompted for proxy authentication.
This would be no problem if you install in a complete emtpy directory .. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 205514 ***
