Prerequisites

• Have Fx Nightly installed and built-in VPN enabled;
• Be signed in to VPN and have it turned on;

Steps to reproduce

1. Access m.youtube.com and try to open a video.

Expected behavior

User is warned that youtube may not work properly with VPN active, similar to the Desktop built-in VPN warning banner.

Actual behavior

While VPN is turned on, Youtube videos are not loading properly and the user is not warned.

Device information

• Firefox version: Fx Nightly 157.0a1 (Build #2016182055)
• Android device model: Google Pixel 7a
• Android OS version: Android 16

Any additional information?

• See video;
• So far there weren't big issues with Youtube running on Android with VPN on, but it is known that Youtube is acting up on Desktop;
• Seems that VPN is working slower than usual when set to "Recommended" location; Youtube seems to work better if a country location selection is made;

Ticket retested on Fx Nightly 159.0a1 (Build #2016188847) with a Google Pixel 7A with Android 16. Youtube seems to work much better now both with "Recommended" or a selected location.
