As part of Bug 1767455 we have introduced a pref named extensions.web_accessible_workers.deprecated_behavior as an emergency rollback mechanism in case of regressions or critical bugs hit by popular extensions.
We have never used this pref so far, and this bugzilla issue is tracking following up to remove the emergency rollback pref once we consider the new restriction to have baked for long enough on release.

Good bug to try out making C++ changes in Firefox (thanks Tomislav for the suggestion!).

While making a change to further restrict Worker's created by extension content
scripts, we added the extensions.web_accessible_workers.deprecated_behavior pref
in case an emergency rollback was required. Fortunately, the change hasn't
caused problems in practice, and we can remove that unused preference now.
