User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030225 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030225 When pasting from Open Office Mozilla Mail will not perform the paste. It will process then give a blank outcome. If I select a small paragraph or less text it may paste. Sometimes I get odd characters added to the pasted text and I have had some difficulty editing the text right after pasting [i.e. cannot back space untill playing with the cursor. I have tried using a current version of Mozilla and it does not help. I must say I like Mozill better than Evolution or KMail but there are some problems with it still. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Mozilla Mail 1.2.1 with Red Hat 9, and Open Office 1.0.3 2. Copy a sizeable amount of text from Open Office Writer 3. Atempt to paste to Mozilla Mail Expected Results: I want to be able to past whole pages - I use Open Office to format and spellcheck my emails then I paste the email to Mozilla Mail but I have to select small amounts of text at a time to make it work.
You are using a fairly old version of Mozilla. Please download a more recent version. If the problem persists post an additional comment, else close the bug. (BTW this WFM on May 28 nightly, with OOo 1.01 on Win 98).
Also reproduced under SuSE 8.2 with Mozilla version 1.5.
I downloaded the nightly build today and it did not paste from a fairly new version of Open Office to Mozilla Mail - composer. I hope there is something I did incorrectly and hope it has been fixed. :) JA
