User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 Build Identifier: 1.4 RC1 (I deleted it and reinstalled 1.3.1) I downloaded Mozilla 1.4RC1. Installed it. When it tried to launch it at the end of the install, it crashed. And crashed every time after that. Something about a memory read error. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download Mozila 1.4RC1 2. Install. Watch it crash 3. Run from start menu. Watch it crash again. Actual Results: It crashed with a memory read error. Expected Results: Start up.
Reporter: Please uninstall Mozilla, delete the whole Mozilla application folder except the plugins subfolder and reinstall mozilla. Have you installed addons in your old build ? 1.4RC1 works for me and many other people on win2k -> doesn't block development -> no blocker

I didn't delete but rather renamed my Plugin's and Component's folders at which point it started working just fine again; Sans those addons... This was a behaviour that started after downloading the June 8, trunk 8 at which point, later and earlier versions would still crash instantly... I did notice, however, that during the 6/8/8 installation, as with later, there are references to XP, can one assume that this may have contributed to the cause? Barry
