User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529 When the URL is loaded, the picture at the top of the page, and the little "ENLARGE" images under it show as a "double image". Here is what it looks like: http://www.users.cloud9.net/~lcp/ghost.jpg If you refresh the page, sometimes the double image will get corrected. Sometimes the page shows correctly. The page is validated HTML 4.0 transitional. It displays correctly in Mozilla 1.3.1 and Internet Explorer 6.0. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load http://www.users.cloud9.net/~bradmcc/5015/index.html 2. If you don't get the "double image" reload the page. 3. Even just moving another window over the browser window and then bringing the browser window to the front again may cause the page to correct itself. Actual Results: Screen shot: http://www.users.cloud9.net/~lcp/ghost.jpg Expected Results: Show the image as a "single image", without the "ghost"/"double". I am running Windows 2000 SP2 over a dialup line, on a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop with 512 meg ram and 1400 x 1050 SXGA+ screen.
Am not seeing this behavior on May 31 nightly on Win98.

also getting this problem. sometimes pages get double rendered, with a slight move change, which cause the double images effect. You can reproduce it as followed: Go to http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/ and notice how the nav table at the top starts out, and then is redrawn to the left. You can see traces of it on the right, and you can see the clipping of the W in "We have RedHat 9 ISOs." Or, to turn on the problem, shift-click the reload button, and to turn it off plainly click the reload button. It's as clear as day then. (taken from Simplex at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=104162#104162) other people in the thread stiil notice the bug in the 26-06-2003 build :( Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030601 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
This bug is definitely in Firebird 20030626 (windows build)
Indeed, same glitch happens here, this one is longer around, not a new glitch!
To witness the bug, shift-click the reload button, and to view the website properly plainly click the reload button. It's as clear as day then. Site to test: http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/ Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030626 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
oops, dupe of comment 3... (I'm Simplex)
I think it has something to do with appearence of scroll bar. As soon as page is loaded enought so that it needs a scroll bar, scroll bar appears on the right and "shifts" things to the left. And it isn't limited to images, later I'll attach a couple of screenshots one of them is from http://bbs.pcstats.com/tweak3d/categories.cfm?catid=10 other from bugzilla page itself showing similar behavior in text.
Attached image example affecting text
Note that "Bugzilla" near top center is missing a "B". the "B" will reappear if highlighted or page is moved/scrolled
yep i can reproduce the bug on that page, and maybe yes its somehting with the scrollbars.
sorry for spam but: the pic speaks for itself, note: double-rendering doesn't appear before a scroll bar is loaded, only after.
Comment on attachment 126610 [details] example affecting text Note that "Bugzilla" near top center is missing a "B". the "B" will reappear if highlighted or page is moved/scrolled. But it doesn't dissappear until a scroll bar appears.

Are you sure it's not a duplicate of bug 195598? Because I am pretty sure it is, since I can't reproduce it on 1.4 RC3. If someone feels it's not a dupe, reopen it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 195598 ***
