Users often leave private browsing windows open while stepping away from their devices, exposing sensitive sessions to nearby individuals on shared or family computers. This feature locks the private browsing window on system sleep, screensaver or system logout, requiring OS-level re-authentication (e.g. Touch ID, Face ID, or PIN/password) to unlock and resume the session.

This feature is already present on Android and would be implemented on Desktop with this ticket.
