User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529 In the pages at the above URL, the HR element collides with the right aligned image, but only in pages that have a doctype specified. If the doctype is left out, (say in HTML 4.01) then it displays correctly. I cant imagine any situation where a web author would desire this behavior. The page http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~wehrwein/test/html4d.html is the only page that it displays (to the best of my knowledge, by the standards) 'correctly'. All versions display (as desired by me, 'correctly') in Internet Explorer. Different examples of the error have been laid out at the above listed (index) url. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create doctyped (HTML 4.01 or XHTML1) page with left/right aligned image 2. add HR below the image, such that it intersects on one side with the image Actual Results: the HR element intersected and kept going-- through my image. Expected Results: The HR should have stopped when it got to the image, thus allowing the image to be displayed fully
