The list of addresses that appears when I start to enter an address in the
compose window is always sorted by name, which means if I have a lot of
addresses that start with the same few letters (e.g. "mike") I either have to
type in most of the address by hand or scroll to the middle of a long list of
names. It would be great if the addresses I used most often, or most recently,
would appear at the top of the list. Something like, addresses I've used in the
last N days at the top in descending order of last use, and the rest under that
in alphabetical order. (If the recent ones are duplicated in the alphabetical
list, that's fine.)

A jolly good suggestion. Is it possible?

It would also be great if a time interval could be set in preferences after
which unused email adresses drop out of the mail completion list.
